About Me

I’m a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington who decided that he wanted to learn more about the region know as South Asia. I’m pretty sarcastic and enjoy music, videography, photography but most of all, a good laugh...

First Night

I've finally arrived to South Asia!!! Jet lag, lack of sleep and the humidity couldn't stop me! (Well maybe a little) With all that said, the first day in South Asia was incredible. I have met some incredible people and I'm enjoying getting to know them. One thing I can say is that I'm already falling in love with the food!! Some of the best meals you can buy are here and it's really cheap, and most people know that I'm pretty cheap. I also have enjoyed getting familiar with where I'm at and visiting the many buildings, restaurants and street vendors. One of the vendors even invited me and my friends to go to the movies with him. I know the Father is moving and provided us with opportunities to meet people. Ask that he remembers us and that we can continue to build friendships while we're there. I have many things to learn, like a working vocabulary and a sense of direction, but one thing I know I need to learn is the way of the auto rickshaw. It will be the way I travel most of the time, so I need to get accustomed to how much is spent $$$. It continues to be a work in progress. I hope that today is only a taste of what's yet to come.

Until We Meet Again,

Bassey
