I hope everyone is doing well. It's been a very interesting week. Towards the end of last week I was putting in massive amount of hours in the office. It eventually became my second home because I spent so much time there. I even had a slumber party of one there. You may be asking yourself, "Why on earth would you choose to sleep at the the office?" The answer for that is the video projects that I have been working on for our South Asia Summit were due. If I don't get it done them i would have really let down my team, so work, work, work I did.
If sleeping at the office wasn't bad enough, it's was amplified even more when there's fear of civil disorder in the area. That said, Father has been gracious in protecting me from the chaos around me. I work around the clock to get everything done and the fear of riots really didn't substantiate itself. Just really quiet streets and which is quiet rare. During that time though, I was able to meet so teenagers who live near me and get to talk to them for a little bit so that was really beneficial.
It was not all work though, once I finally finish I took some time to rest and I got to meet some cool people who are here for the same purpose as me. So getting to share what's going on was great. I got a lot of sleep so that was refreshing and I spent some time with my favorite Uncle and Auntie here. Just helping with the work that they do in the slums and spread the word about the ways people can help was the least I could do. I really looking forward to a couple when I get to go to the villages and see for myself how it is.
Before I go I would like you to remember my roommate. He is going to the states this week and it's catching up to him. After spending a couple of years here, it becomes home and that the relationships that were made don't fade, the seeds that were planted will begin to grow and that his heart will be forever changed by this experience. Father is working here and I know that his heart is here and I'm going to miss him. Well I got to go... I'm moving to a new place in less then a week so...
UTNAF,
Bassey
P.S: If anyone is interested in coming to South Asia let me know. My uncle and auntie needs volunteers that can help with teaching english and help tutor students. There are so many more opportunities too, so if your interest let me know.
